A forum for Australian Directors presented by some of China's leading film and television celebrites and professionals.
Presenting Yang Bu Ting ( Chairman of China Film promotion international) , Director, Composer and Producer Cui Jan (Devil on Your Doorstep, Beijing Bastards, Age of Repairing Hymen. Also presenting Director Guan Hu, one of the most popular TV series directors in China as well as various other films.
Actor Huang Bo winner of Best Actor of 2010 Gold Horse Award. credits include Crazy Stone, Crazy Racer and Hooked on You. Actress Mo Xiao Qi (Ocean Flame) and one of China?s top actors Liao Fan (Ocean Flame).
Moderated by Pauline Chan, Director, Producer, Actor and Writer. (credits include Traps, Dusty Hearts, Little White Lies and Ultraviolet) who will also share her Australia China Co production experiences.
Topics to be discussed will include the practicalities and considerations of working in China; influences and inspirations. The current trend of Chinese Film Genres and what impact does it have on actors and directors. The Australian Perspective : How does this trend relate to the Australian Productions and Australian marketplace? Current status and condition of working
Chinese Actors and Directors (ie. Hollywood is calling and more and more co productions and cofinancing.) What does it mean to Chinese domestic films? How does this relate to the Australian Film Industry and Film Workers? Come and learn more about Australian-China co-productions from people working within this industry.
